Chuck threw this fish back, I am like dude we should of weighed that, he is like lets get it its still floating as it was taken in 60 fow, we netted it back up and weighed it. No he lost his contract at Wrights

I weighed it on my digital's which are as precise in comparison to glass Chatillon's, it may have been off by a few ounces either way, it measured about 39-40" it wouldn't quit slithering so tough to get that accurate. Funny thing I just looked it up as well and we caught it right where the current NY record was taken, cool

I fish with the guy that holds the state record.  It came through the ice too.  Had several close to it over the years but still can't break 17lbs.  Very nice fish, not a lot of people that appreciate them.

We got one that big in the intake at work (Lake Ontario, Greece).  It was 39 3/4" long.  Neat fish for sure.
