 No frost here at my house,only got down to 40 deg,,pumpkin has split into the cavity which makes it inelegible to enter in any contest..just keeping it going to make sure the seeds mature.  The closest contest is in the Portland area on the 26 of Sept. Takes a 1000 lb pumpkin to win any money down there..one of these years I hope to bring one down there and win a little money. 8)..  Growing giant pumpkins is like fishing ..you learn from your mistakes.. and your sucesses ..and a little luck never hurts  :laugh:
