The Chain
« on: Feb 05, 2010, 05:16 PM »
Been getting decent piles of fish the last week.  Shallow, shallow, shallow is the key.  Hole hopping required, the campers are getting 4 or 5 fish.

All the trips have been ~4 hours each, so only avg. about 5 or 6 fish an hour, which isn't that great but I will take it.

Pistakee, I have never fished any of the other lakes on the chain.

Seems to be the hotspot out there. I thought I met you out on Mineola with Andy (Washusky102)? The whites are still there for the pickin, though I really don't care for them eating wise....

It wasn't me.  They are still getting whites now?

I wouldn't mind trying more lakes on the chain but not knowing where to gain access has prevented it.

Access was also one of my concerns, also haveing my wheeler up in wisconsin slows down the moves.
Looks like Chuck is taking the skinny boat to tuna town. "Pops"

No ATV here, a lot of long walks dragging the Scout.  It is a good workout.

I am talking about the Fox Chain, northern IL.  I would take you up on the offer for Barbee Chain if I were back in Indiana, but that is a long haul from Arlington Heights.
