Marmish rod with 2lb. test question
« on: Jan 12, 2006, 09:10 AM »
How large of fish can you really get on 2 lb. test?  I am waiting for my marmish rod (and ice but thats besides the point) and going to put on 2lb. as they call for, just wondering if it can be used for nice size trout or just pannies.  Thanks.

2 pound test? never used it for jigging rods, but.......

-This guy was cuaght on 6 pound test Mono

and

-This Brute was caught on 4

trust me, you will do just fine as long as you have your drag set, it is ten times more fun when the fish is able to fight back, plus the light line will catch those lineshy fish way off guard. go ultralight!!

Well I got a marmish rod and it calls for 2lb. test to make it effective, not using a reg. rod so just wondering how large of fish I can get on the 2lb. they call for.

Here is some advice...fill the spool like you would any other rod..I thread the line from the top down the hole then tie it onto the spool then close up and reel the line on..
