Spawn sack questions
« on: Jan 05, 2011, 04:48 PM »
I've been getting into alot of salmon lately and they are full of eggs. I have been saving them up to go fishing with them later for lakers. Does anyone know if i should cure them and if so how? Or should i just tie em up and put em on a hook. Thanks

If you're catching Salmon, why would you want to change to spawn sacs?

If you want, I would use them when fresh, nothing's better.

IF you want to preserve them for later use, you should cure them.

Here's a couple of websites that will help:

http://www.pro-cure.com/eggcure.html

Pro-cure is pretty much fool proof.  It's what most of the commercial houses use.

Hope this helps,

Wiener
