Title: Any ice updates on Burt/Mullet or Douglas?
Post by: 04EDGE40 on Feb 20, 2018, 12:05 PM
My buddy and I are heading north tomorrow to hit up Douglas on T/F/S.  Anyone have any update on the ice?

I'm hearing good things about lakes just to the South and I saw an update about Burt last week.

We are experiencing 60s and rain here, maybe it's just messing with my head.  Someone put my mind at ease and tell me there's good ice up there!

Was up there today, some heaves here and there, but that's normal on Mullett still plenty of ice.  Lots of shanties still out there.  Some shiny ice from the warm/rain but it wasn't warm long enough do do any real damage.  We live on Grand Lake by Alpena, and we still have 12+ inches, and Mullet is north of us even.

Few guys I know are on Burt right now. Plenty of snow/ice. They're on sleds and quads. Good luck.
