I was thinking the same thing. I just hope that this cold spell will button up some of the slop.

break out the snowshoes and time to suck it up.  It will get rid of everyone but the die hards.

We got at least 10 inches now, and everytime I look out my window, I see it is still snowing!  My bro, just plowed me out. ???  Won't know the whole story, until I measure on my Storage shed in the morning.  Then shovel that off.

This snow poses many problems, ice insulation so it wont create new ice,  weight on the ice(saggy ice) and my GD fourwheeler isnt gonna like it infact probably wont go through it at all.

The last time I measured we were at 11".  This isn't gonna help the march fishing at all.  The ice isn't getting any thicker with all this snow keeping the cold air from getting to it.  The champlain islands derby is next weekend and the die hards will be out there regardless.

I plan on fishing Sunday. Banking on my snowmobile getting me out with shanty in tow. Heck I may just use it to check my flags.........in my 10" holes.

This is not good news!  In NH, the snow on the ice is almost 2ft thick, slushy at the bottom due to all the pressure.  I was hoping VT would be less, but guess you guys are getting slammed too.

Good luck to those that get out in the snow drifts.  Even the selfish, kinda lazy ones that think they're funny.
I fish better Hungry.
