The truck that went thru the ice is Chris Lanzi's. He was plowing so the sleds can drag race there, They got the truck out this morning. A friend of mine did the diving for it.

New guy on the board just saying hello. and waiting for some ice.

Hey guys - I'm going to give it a try tomorrow morning.  Going off of Northampton Campground.  I'll let you know how it goes.  I've heard from Dave at Dave's Bait and Tackle that there is a lot of water at the shore however when you go out a few feet there's pleny of ice.

I will not go places that aren't safe therefore should there not be an adequate amount of ice (4 inches or more) I'll call it a morning...

Last week I caught a limit in about 3 hours and hope for the same luck this week.

Best regards -

David

UpstateIceMaster and I fished from 1-530p on Sunday. The edges were a total mess.
We started at Northampton Beach. There were people out there fishing but we could not see
how they got on the ice??? We walked the shore for 1/2 mile and found no access.
Went to Sport Island and walked out on the dock and got on the ice.
1- shorty walleye.

Went up Monday morning to check out the ice. There was open water from above the bridge 1/2 way to Sport Island and the edges were broke up for about 10-12 feet out.

There was tons of debris in the water with a swift current.

ive been out on the sacandaga for the past 3 weeks the first week we caught about 10 fish in 4 hours of fishing a 22 inch pike, 21 inch 4 1/2 lbs walleye 3 smallmouths and a few smaller walleye, last saturday shore conditions were horrible in some spots but others were ok good enough to walk on to get onto the lake which also produced about 6 inches of ice by the laskys marina area caught one fish in 10 hours of fishing a 30 inch 12 lbs pike, went out today shore conditions are ok cause 3 fish in about 9 hours of fishing 2 smalle eyes and a 36" 18 lbs pike well jigging, been hearing a lot about the northhampton campground area going to try that out tomorrow
