i ice fished yesterday on a small pond and got 21 gills 1 crappie 2 perch tomorrow I'm going to hit up a small lake for cappies i hope

are bigger lakes have ice on them but not good to fish if the wind would stop for two or three days will be fishing them buy Wednesday i hope the pond that i fish have 3"to 4" of ice on them

Don't let the weather dictate your fishing!!!! Get out there and tough it out!!! Spent the entire day out in the wind on a large lake without a shanty and enjoyed every minute of it, GREAT DAY...

i went to a small lake today, but it was too windy, broke my pole, had to chase my portable down the black ice...only managed 3 dink perch

On a lighter note i got to use my LX3-tc for the first time

yesterday we had to run down are two ice shanty's the wind took the down the pond then we drilled a hole behind them and anchored them down that was fun

New to site today,gonna try out sodus bay tomorrow.Local bait shop says 3.5"@ south end & froze up past spiegle drive nearly to shakers.Backside of leroy same.We`ll see!!!

Hows the fishing at abanaki?my father and i were thinking about going up to either lake adirondack or abanaki,also are you allowed to park there?we've been there in the summer,but never on ice .Thanks -

we fished west lake friday. 4 inches of ice, we caught about 30 pickerrel. it was just good to get out.

was out on sodus-reluctantly.Little to dicey for me.Made it `bout 150yds off conneleys cove.Wind broke up alot of ice and it`s not that thick.Most we found was 3"-least was1.5.Behind leroy isl there were probably 9 guys,that`s it.I`ll wait a week @least before trying it again.Not into swimming this time of year!!!Was nice to get out though.Caught ZIP!!!

Got out yesterday and today, yesterday was winnnnnnnnndy fishing was decent some small pike, few good size perch, and some Bass. Today fishing was slow one 21inch pike 1 perch and a bass. 6 inchs of ice and the ice was talking to us all morning. Felt good to get out.

Got out for the first trip of the year today on Cranberry pond. Had a great day of perchin' in 4' of water. Ice was 3-5 and clear or black. Love that place!

went out yesterday on some small local ponds caught some perch and about 20 pickerel the bigest one was 22 1/2 inches all and all a good day on the ice.

Finally got out yesterday and only caught 3 pickerel on tip-ups. nothing jigging. It just felt good to finally get out on to some ice.

I Fished yesterday and got one eye just short of 20 inches.

Ice was barely fishable.

Fished Saratoga yesterday (1/21) on 3 inches of pretty firm ice. Not many fish but great to finally be out.

1st post

3 of us fished on almost 5" of mostly black ice, just north of Watertown. Caught 12 pike (biggest was only 25") and 4 pickerel (biggest was 20+") all on tip-ups. It was a perfect day! Had a blast and headed back up next weekend. Hopefully I will see you their Paulytip-up!

Went out on Saturday with Iceenut and Wellsy, I think we caught close to 300 perch on a private little pond. Lots and lots of dinks but a few nice one's in there too. Sunday the Iceshanty crew made it out and the fishing was very slow
