I think it was 1989 when we ice fished the last week of deer season. We had an early start on the day and were tired of catching fish by one, so we put on a few drives. We shot two bucks. That was some day. In Sullivan county.

just make sure you tie a rope to shore if your going out on an inch or two.......

inch or two not quite what im willing to go out on, but 3 or 4 i will do. With a buddy, ropes, throwable flotation, ice picks, and of coarse, spud spud spud every step of the way.

Ill be on the ice on the 17th. I will gladly release the name of the lake on the 18th as it will be a one and done trip for me. The fishings kinda hit or miss where im going so i only use it as a first ice spot to make sure the gears all in good working order before the real lakes are ready.

My vacation is planned last week of December.
Aside from sitting in my boat last December 24th at 70 degrees. I have always ice fished in December
