Garmin livescope
« on: Dec 09, 2022, 05:43 PM »
Scheels has the Garmin echomap UHD 93Sv livescope bundle with lithium battery for 2500 on sale currently.
Is this a good deal?
Any better deals out there on a similar bundle?
Do you guys think livescope is worth it?

Now's the time to buy if you're interested. Awesome technology - that said the fish don't catch themselves! I have used my buddy's on a boat and will be using it for the first time on the ice this year. Definitely a game changer but it is expensive and has its pros and cons like anything else. Just tell your wife it's an investment  @)

I got the scheels bundle a week before Black Friday. It has the 34 ducer. $500 off. I can’t wait and am super excited. I watched a lot of people buy them at ice show last weekend too.

Went into scheels to grab some Hali jigs a few days ago, walked out with a livescope. Took it out this evening to a nearby urban pond for a shake down run before serious fishing tomorrow. I’m quite impressed with it after just a few hours playing around. The forward looking to scout around for fish is great. Down view works extremely well. Even played with the contour mapping a bit. Only criticism I have is the same as others have said, the transducer pole is garbage, I’ll be ordering one from Summit as soon as they’re back in stock.  Other than that, I’d say it’s worth it.

I think you’d end up happier in the long run with getting components separately, mainly having a better battery and transducer pole but I think some companies (summit) are out of stock. I pieced mine together with good Black Friday deals etc last year (93uhd, summit shuttle pole and bag, amped 30ah, lvs32 during their rebate) so have around $2500 invested. Buy used possibly from a trusted seller, lots of stuff on Facebook groups. But buying the package deal might be best bet, maybe price match the big stores, use Rakuten for rebates, etc

This^^^^^^^.

I am into mine for under $2000, got the summit shuttle, bag and pole. I found a 18ah lifepo4 battery on Amazon for $100.

Can't go wrong with the livescope...other than the costs associated with it, it is the best tech for fishing

So you use no type of electronic device in locating or aiding in catching fish?

So I ended up purchasing the LVS 32 ice bundle from Scheels.
Just got it in today and was wondering if there’s any tips for making it easier to use.
I heard buying the summit transducer pole is a good upgrade?
Anything else?
It comes with a 16.5 lithium battery so I’m hoping that’s enough

If you suck at fishing a livescope wont save you at all.  You'll still suck.  It doesnt tie knots for you, it doesnt pick time and location, or lure choice.  It doesnt jig for you or reel in your fish.

Sure it's worth it if you can afford it. Why not? If it don't work out for you...sell it. Most often those that can't afford it are the ones saying it's not worth it. I don't have one...yet. But my buddy who I do 90% of my fishing with picked one up that we're going to try. If I like it...probably have one next season.
