I drove past a few pioneer valley locations expecting to see acres of white slop but not a spec of snow on any of the places I checked.
Wyola’s clean (edges look rough and I’d stay away from the dam, north cove and boat ramp area) and Barton’s is clean as a whistle.. edges even looked good for once.
It’s creeper time again!
Busted a sweat in -4 temps and 20 mph winds Tuesday morning dragging my sled out to the spot. Really happy to see what I saw today!
Bring a plank if you’re going out tomorrow ;)

Give this rain water a little time to find it's way to the river. The water fluctuations may break up the edges. I will be checking the Ox-slow tomorrow

Worcester ponds held their edges
Zamboni
Fish on

Save yourself the time, The river is way up and its only going to rise more today and tomorrow with all the tribs running into it. Drove by today and its raging and the edges are gonezo.

Was thinking of hitting Wyola Saturday afternoon or Sunday, but easiest access would be from North Cove (mostly O.K. last weekend) so not sure of that. Will spud, but if anyone has any updated info today or tomorrow, would certainly appreciate it!!

Wyola is fishable if you can squeak across 1 inch of ice for the first 12 feet or so. Probably a little thicker on Sunday.
The ice was slick and about 10 inches once you get on it.

Really? That’s surprising.. was that by the state beach?

Yikes.. thanks for saving me the trip.
Gonna have to rethink tomorrow.. going with a group of newbies including my GF and a really fat guy.
1+” won’t fly, lol

I would still fish there, its wicked cold and barely got to 34 yesterday....
Even if the ice were to break which it prob wont the water is like 12 inches or less.
