Did get a much needed 1/3" rain over the past couple hours but it's supposed to be even warmer tomorrow and stay in the 90's until we're maybe back to around normal(?) Tuesday/Wednesday. Bet there will be a sticky fog in the morning.

Currently 91*f feels like 93*f starting Wednesday this week we got a temp drop for at least two week stright.. starting September 27,2017.. tell you one thing went fishing early am the fish were hiding deep cause waters so warm...buddy had one bass suck the scales off his bait..  in the deep and that was it for the rest of the morning.. you can tell the fish don't like this heat.. any more then I do..

Today and Tonight

Record heat, with highs into the lower and mid 90s, is expected
this afternoon across most of the area. Heat index values will be
in the mid 90s during this afternoon at most locations inland of
Lake Michigan. Those numbers are in the Extreme Caution Zone on
the National Weather Service Heat Index chart. If you plan to
spend time outside this afternoon consider some heat related
safety precautions.

its killing the salmon run..low water and too hot for the fish and me.it sucks big time fishing in this weather.fish are turning into boots in a few days and some are just belly up floating dead already.i can see if it was late October for them to get ugly and die but they are dying before they even starting spawning.

This meteorologist's view of the upcoming La Nina winter looks pretty good to me!

Looks like it's going to be wet and snowy for michigan..  according to this forecast which is a good thing for michigan..  cause I am welcoming winter this year..we need a good freeze that I think will happen with this weather..  cause when  snow dumps in the lakes.. snow helps cool it faster and insulation will help keep it longer..  but hopefully not keep it from freezing ... cause insulation can go bolth ways.. any how see for your self see what you think.. see link ..

sounds like they don't know what's up. so long as it's a better ice season than last year. i bought an auger extension because we had over 22 inches of ice not that long ago and it is still in the package because i needed it back then, but didn't get it til later.

" In NOAA's winter forecast, Michigan lies in a region where temperatures are not pointing in a certain direction. NOAA actually gives Michigan an equal chance of having normal, colder than normal or warmer than normal temperatures.

The interesting part of Michigan's winter forecast is the expectation of a storm track through the Ohio Valley. A storm center moving through the Ohio Valley puts Michigan on the cold side of the storm, meaning snow. It also would put Michigan in the heaviest swath of snow with any given storm.

If storm systems often take a track through the Ohio Valley this winter, Michigan will get plenty of snow. Michigan could also get plenty of slop with the expected track. Slop would be wet snow, freezing rain, sleet and rain. "
