Sat. we picked up 2 whopper yellows some smaller ones and dinks. We were N.E. of the island out past all the shacks.
Don't try going on at the old Ritz. Too much snow. A 4WD Ford was buried there Sat.
We went on at bayside and it was good.

I wish I had pullled my off tonight. First thing in the morning I am going to to try to pull it off. I think it will be a high speed pull off to get through the drifts. Did you break a path tonight on the south side ?

The south bay road is 100% drifted in DO NOT USE IT.  We were staying on top of most the drifts off road with my buddies f150.  A few naughty ones we dropped thru and almost got buried in.  Just keep on her and dont let up!  Look back every once and awhile to make sure the shacks still in one piece

Does anyone know if there is a road plowed out on the east side of the island?

That is exactly what I did.  30mph going out and 30 mph pulling the shanty back watching it go up in the air a few times.
It is really windy on the Lake this morning and is still drifting.  I would get on the lake at the Bayside if anyone is looking for a spot to get on or if you go in from the south bay just do not stop till you get to where you are going.

Bayside is excellent to get on the ice. Some guy in a white dodge plowed the approach out today.
THANKS DUDE~! :-*
We bashed some drifts on our way out to get the shanty so give it the beans if your goin out.
Most of the perms are off already.
30" of ice and we gotta pull'em. I don't get it.

I measured 30" of ice on clear lake a couple of days ago. It's supposed to stay below freezing until Sunday. We should be ice fishing for at least 3 weeks here yet if the weather stays on the cool side. The lake looked really barren out there today since the permanet shacks had to be off by March 1, not a soul out there this morning.

Glad to hear everybody made it off in one piece!!  Anybody get any fishing done this week?  How's the bite? It's been a couple of weeks since I've been up there was thinking about giving it a try on Sunday.  We fished the over by gilmores last time picked up a few dink eyes, and had a really nice musky taking interest in my camera.  To bad I don't have a treble hook for that thing, I think if I would have jigged him a little it could have got interesting!!!  ;D

I've been fishing northeast of the island where everyone else is. I was there tonight from 5-7 and caught 5 nice yellows and several  walleyes but they was all under 14".  The ice is in great shape. Good luck.

My son and I was out Sunday night. We caught 8 yellows and some small eyes. The best time to fish for yellows is just before sunset until dark then the eyes start hitting. Should be good ice for awhile, the nightime temps are going to be in the 20's  even though the daytime temps are getting into the 40's.

I was on Clear last night through this morning, same report as the others.

fished NE of the island (Red Dakota, Clam 5600)

yellows bit pretty hot at dusk and dawn both, a few fish through the night but slow, walleyes were all short.

I think we will be on the ice into April yet at least with 4wheelers.  Looks like we're getting another cold spell after these few warmer days here.  Should improve the bite and maybe produce some late season hogs

Just got back from Clear lake.   The fishing was lousey for us!   We fished N.E of the island from 4:30 til dark and we only caught one little walleye,  drilled about 25 holes and tried to stay on the move???  No yellows.   At dark we moved to the north side of the lake to try for some eyes and only managed one more small one.  Fished til 9:15 and packed up for home.
