Muskegon Lake Pike
« on: Mar 04, 2005, 02:23 PM »
Can anyone recommend good spots on Muskegon for pike?  My dad used to catch a lot somewhere around Johnson point years ago, but that's a long ways to walk and hard to find the structure he fished.  I'm going tomorrow and hope to catch a couple on tip-ups.  I might possibly jig as well (my dad's favorite way w/ gold loco spoon).  I notice people on this forum don't mention Muskegon very much, so I'm wondering if you're out there.  I live in Hesperia, any other lakes I should check out for gills, perch, pike, etc?  Thanks!

Sorry I didn't catch your post sooner. Try snug harbor for the pike. And pan fish on Muskegon lake.
White Lake would be closer for you, try Lions Den. or the park on the north side of the lake by the narrows. It's getting late in the season but the ice is still good.

Today (March 15) is your last day to fish for pike...for us lower peninsula fishermen.
