422 from Butler . Pass the Fairgrounds , first ramp 528 exit . 2 miles to 528 bridge over lake . Turn right at end of bridge . As you go down the hill to the boat launch , you can make a left and follow the shore line up the Muddy Creek  branch or you can just go out from the boat launch . STAY AWAY from the bridge ! ! ! ! The bridge pillars heat up in the sun and cause thin ice . Very dangerous ! Tight lines to you .

Went out at upper 528 launch area. Caught decent amount of small gills and a couple of crappies mixed in. Very light bite though. 6 inches of dark ice, but a couple pressure cracks that went across the whole lake. Edges were a little sketchy and open water under the bridges. Be careful

Nice ! I hope you remember your friends when you hit the million dollar jackpot !  :woot: :woot: :woot:

Enjoy the weather . We're going down to 11° tonight and a mix of snow& ice in the next 24 hours . We should have good ice when you get home . Watch out for the crazies out on the strip at night . They'll pic your pockets and dump you in an alley . My buddies & I went there in 2005 and rode Harley's to the Grand Canyon and around Arizona . One friend hit for $5,000 and was immediately propositioned by a drag queen !  :woot: :roflmao: :cookoo:

Fished big run yesterday. We needed boards to get on. It's hard to see the ice conditions with snow covering it. We ventured way out in front of the boat rental docks... KEEP AWAY!!!! 2 inches! 4 to 5 inches in the middle of big run if you can get on.

Anyone been checking the ice recently? If so, how thick and any bad spots? How’s the shores?

You need to stay away from bridges due to salt run off from road

Lot of run off yet again. I can't see the lakes holding much more. Not going to have ice building temps and I ain't a fan of building bridges to get on ice. There is a reason it gets like that.

That wind is down right crazy ! Walked out of a store today and it grabbed my ballcap and tossed it 40 feet in the air and about a 100 feet away . Then it yanked the truck door out of my hand . It's garbage day tomorrow and we got cans all over the place in our neighborhood . Not setting mine out till morning .

If Lake Arthur survived the winds and bit of rain there looks to be some good weather to keep it going into March for hardwater.  Hope things stay firm could have potential to grow with cold night time temps?
If only God would come down in the form of a man and explain everything to us.
