That’s awesome! If not a CT setback maybe Post Pond?

Very cool, don't see them too often in NH... And honestly if your answer is anything other than the Connecticut River you should probably keep it to yourself unless you want that location beat to death...

. Awesome is right nice job!   I think fish and game needs to update species in ponds 99%sure no walleye in post pond. I live 2miles from there and have fished it a lot in last 20 years.  I saw 2 small ones come out a year or 2after they stocked it wich was sometime in early mid 90s.  This is also when state dipped virtually all the smelt out to stock other lakes Tarleton various others around.  Smelt finally regrouped a little but nothing like before. Walleye non existent and the locals are tight group that share knowledge of what is going on in there.  Seen a Laker around 8lbs and a 13 n 19lb pike wich are not supposed to be there. Couple old timers used to like fishing Champlain and doing bucket biology, who have since made it to pond in the sky.  I wish there were walleye there I wouldn't have to go to NEK to fish for them

I know they’re pretty much gone, but maybe there was one left! Thanks for the background on Post, sounds like fish and game mismanaged it unfortunately

Nice going! I have had a lot of fun trying to figure them out down here in MA and have been getting them in open and hard water. Best of luck!

Fish and Game, perhaps. But stories about bucket biologists, from Champlain or elsewhere, bother me even more.

Saw a story a few days ago about a fisherman falling through the CT and needing rescue. Maybe he was hunting unicorns?

thanks, Moore res it was! I have fished the derby in June there for many years and never caught a walleye. I fish it once through the ice and boom jig up a 14 inch walleye. Swedish pimple with a minnow on the end. Very weird behavior on the sonar before he hit the bait. Came up looked at it and went back down about 10 times.

That's pretty awesome! I've caught one open water in NY as a kid. Would love to get into them again
