Hey all, haven't been posting much lately. Just curious if anyone is doing the AVFD derby this weekend? I've been going for years, love the lake, love the good people there. I had an accident Tuesday afternoon, so I'll be the guy out there on crutches! Yeah, I'm sick.

Great weekend, great people, love that lake! Dipstick might have gotten biggest laker... I don't like killing bigger ones, but he looked at me the wrong way! Met A LOT of people out there, glad the support is going out for the AVFD.

Rainbow was 5.85 lbs! Cusk was 7.76 lbs. My laker was 7.44 lbs. It was pretty cool, he had about a 10" cusk in his mouth when I caught him.

Based on the board the fish seemed to turn out for the derby - hopefully the crowds did as well and it was a success for the AVFD.

Just checking back in, did my picture not post? All I saw was a photo bucket fail! Let me know I should try to post again... I think the AVFD did ok, they told me 640ish tickets. Never seen so many cusk sets before, it was crazy.

It showed up for me. Were they all cusk sets or the mock cusk sets some bow fishermen use to protect their prospective string?

I could never see it - but with all the nice fish replies you received, I figured it was on my end. Glad AVFD did well, I know they had some questionable ice years where they had to cancel/had low tickets. Congrats again.
