From what I saw Saturday I would say this weekend will be no problem for quads.  With the small amounts of snow and white ice, even if it warmed I can't see any more than an inch or two of slush on top.  Where I fished I had 11 inches (measured) of very clear black ice.  I don't see that going anywhere real fast either.

     Can't make the show but, I did MEASURE 15" of ice, 13" clear off Greyshores in 20 ft of water. Ice should be no problem infact a guy on a suped up quad rolled from the south past me flying up to the northend and two sleds went by also today. The bad ice and open water are about 3/4 of the way down the lake, stay to the north or very southend and away from the middle. Good luck to everyone! :tipup:

Looks like I just might be the last one there.  My honey is going with me and she won't be ready to leave here until 6:30 or 7:00.  That doesn't put me on the ice until 7:30 at the earliest.  Gotta love her.   :-*  I'll give a holler out on the radio when we get there.

I bought my bait this morning.  Might have to buy a few more shiners though, just to show some appreciation.  You got to love bait at the edge of the ice, beats the heck out of driving 20 miles out of your way!!!

He is a good friend of mine and helps me out with this... but he does it all over here locally!

I can actually answer part of that for you, I owned a bait shop.

Pike mentioned with 3 lbs. 1lb = about 2-3 dozen minnows. With that said and his 3 lbs coming that is about 6-9 dozen pike minnows.

1 lb of faheads usually meant when I got them about 6-8 dozen minnows.

There will be plenty of bait available... but it is first come first serve.
So get there early and there will be no problem!
But if you look at all I listed... thats alot of bait for sure! ;D

Good work oak!  That's always my biggest problem is getting bait since I usually can't get it the day before and no one is open early enough in the morning.  I'm definitely a buyer Saturday!
