What do you do with empty propane tanks?

I use the Flame King refillable 1# cylinders which are DOT approved for refilling and transporting. A seperate filling valve is needed that attaches to a 20# tank. The 1# cylinders have a built in purge that utilizes a small hex key allowing the cylinder to be filled completely. Safe, legal and environmentally friendly.

Who needs more targets?  Got a few extras.
I don’t bother refilling just recycle. 1# is only for weight. Once I put the sled on ice it’s a 20# for me.

  I use them for bobbers. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 like on Jaws.

i know guys that use to brag about leaving them on hot holes .......until they figured out clean people picked their  trash up

Most bulk propane distributors will recycle them. One near me has a bin right next to the filling station to put them in. However, I no longer use those grenades...neither new or refill. 5 pounder for me. Soooo much easier and economical.
