I fished Lincoln both Saturday and Sunday. Fishing was really slow. Actually the slowest I've ever experienced there. One 22" Pike on Saturday and nothing on Sunday (was only there for 3hr Sunday). The Ice is about 3ft thick and snow cover is variable. Most places have at least a ft with drifts up to 3ft! I fished near the island so I didn't have to drag my gear very far from the car. I did see a nice healthy looking Red Fox cross the ice about 100yd from my shanty on Sunday. That was pretty cool.

If you have 4x4 you should be able to do it if you stay away from the drifts and try to stick to where the sleds have been. If you get off the packed tracks you would probably be done. The depth of snow is quite variable due to the drifting.

I saw and heard a bunch of sleds over there this weekend. They were skimming the water under the bridge.

Not too bad. You just need to make sure you account for that 3ft to get your bait to the depth you want it under the ice. It's a lot of work with a hand auger. Hope you have sharp blades if you are using one. My blades suck. It took me like an hour just to drill 5 holes! I might head back this weekend if I get some new blades or get my gas auger running better. No way I'm drilling through all that ice with my crappy auger again!

creature are you fishing north of the island or south of the island near the causeway. i plan on making it up there this weekend will stay clear of where you are if i know your direction. i will be going on directly from the house east of the island and planned on fishing in front of the house.

I usually go on the west or south side of the island (between island and road). I think the fox I saw on Sunday went right up by your house! Near the pavilion looking thing on top of the hill.

We caught 2 small pike. Fished between the island and the road on the west side of the island. No slush at all but lots of snow!

Yep still 3ft of ice. Snow conditions haven't changed. Anywhere from 1-2ft depending on the drifting. Layer of crust on top.

I went with a friend and we used his auger. Kefy mine home. Will get new bladed for the hand aufet and get the power auger tuned up for next season. One pike wsx about 17" the other was about 14". Tiny. Still had a good time hanging with my buddy. Not sure I will get back out in the hard water this year. I think I will start looking for salmon and steelhead in my local Champlain tributarys.
