King Bay Champlain
« on: Feb 16, 2019, 09:17 AM »
I was thinking about renting a cottage in King Bay. I’ve only fished the Vermont side..North Hero and Misiqoui.
Wondering how the fishing was on this side. We will be targeting Pike.

Thanks

Not that I'm aware of. Where you coming from? Gander mountain is pretty much the only game in town in that area that I'm aware of but if you are coming from the south that expands your options

Coming from Connecticut... does Gander have decent bait?

Not really. I would say the prices are fair but when I was up there the other day they had what they were calling a large suckers which were 3 to 4 in, medium shiners and Fatheads. If you're coming from Connecticut you will drive right by fish307 in Lake George if you are coming up 87. They always have a large quantity of good healthy bait and that is where I would stop. If not I would stop at FMB Bait and Tackle which is and I believe Westport right near the Crown Point bridge on Route 9 but his hours are kind of wacky
