I have not been on in a long time and good to be back.
Almost 30 years ago I drove truck, and being Italian, all the guys started calling me "Pastaboy" and it stuck.
I think it all started with my wife being Italian and she was always making all kinds of pasta dishes for my work lunches.
They would always tease me about the AMOUNT of food, and it was all Italian dishes, that my wife would send to work with me.
So now you know the legend of the "Pastaboy"........

Long time Varmint/Fur Hunter and my preferred weapons of choice are my 220"SWIFTS". How much wood, could a woodchuck chuck, if I don't shoot it first? 'yotes and Crows aren't fond of them either. My name used on other sites was gone here.

Whenever my girlfriend and son go out ice fishing with me it's quite the task getting me to leave sometimes. I always tell them just one more fish and we can go. Three fish later we might leave ;D.

where ya been holding up?
mine is short for a ham radio i have. AR3300 100 watt 10 meter radio i beefed up to 250 watts. has 11 meter in it too. goes from 26 megahertz to 30 megahertz 5 modes.
internet and cell phones makes it about obsolete. i used to work on them, but got out of it.

I grew up on Houghton Lake ice fishing as a kid. After the U of M I went away for many years working in the tropics. Came back to Michigan and discovered how much I had missed ice fishing all those years. I don't go out on the big lakes, but we've got so many little lakes to explore that I'm more than happy. As long as we get safe ice...

I have always had an Oldsmobile to drive since my first car. It was a 1950 I got after hi-school graduation. I have a 1966 Cutlass hibernating in the barn waiting for spring. The last olds I ever bought, so through association, I have been called olds. I just added the Pa to olds to let people know what state I live in. Besides, a 3 letter handle is easy for an oldster to remember. What with falling gas prices, maybe I can afford to drive it this year. Yoopergirl, for the record, I am nearly 73, so don't feel bad... ;)...olds

Two fold. Fishin is what it's all about for me. The spelling of anglure is a play on my favorite way to fish . I like getting them on lures no matter the season. My userename is also my license plate. BTW. Hey Yoopergirl, You're not the only one who has asked that question about the age thing.... LOL Tugs and tight lines all !

I'm not very inventive, just my initials and address. Easy for me to remember. I used to be called turtleman but didn't want to be confused with the hill rat on TV. Also Deuce Coupe but that's a different hobby.

I got my from work I'm 6" 4 ...238 lbs i worked with a bunch of guys from Vietnam in a machine shop.that's what they called me and it stuck with me for the last 15 yrs or so..and the numbers are zip code..I didn't see the age thing lol...I think I was born in 66 not sure I was a baby then :P

CP is the initials of my home town where I grew up. It used to be Cp_Sharp_Shooter because I could shoot the nuts off a squirrel at 300 yards before I lost 3 fingers in a log splitting accident, so I shortened it.

Enjoy fishing and have a son that loves to go. Don't get out much since he and my daughters consume my weekends with sports. Daughters will go when its sunny and 80 degrees!!! Well worth missing time on the water, they grow up fast........

Play and Coach hockey, approaching 52 and been playing goalie for about 25yrs now. Still in net a couple nights a week so with goalie and fishing netminder fit and my number has been 34 since switching to goalie. Yes age is a state of mind for me also as my wife wants me to stop skating but I am afraid I will fall apart if I do, and they keep calling me to play so I am still competitive. When the calls stop I will know it's time to hang them up.

Side story...several years ago, a buddy and I were fishing the NAIFC tournament at Wamplers. While most there were driving their quads and sleds, we rolled up in a golf cart. A local news reporter came up to us and made a few light-hearted comments about our set up including giving us our new and current nickname...Team Caddyshack ;D

I raise brook trout with my students during the school year, and Know where we stock them........ ;-) I had an older ice shanty name purpletang2 but lost the password to that....and just started over lol.

SHaRPS - First person in the state of RI to shoot a perfect 100x100 in a registered Handicap(longer distance) ATA Trap tournament(RI STATE SHOOT). I also have tons of other Trap, skeet, sporting clays and rifle victories so it just stuck and spread.

When I was a kid I absolutely loved to go ice fishing with my dad. One spot we would fish for bluegill's was a small lake where the fish would go +25' deep in the dead of winter. The gear we used was pretty simple - either Schooley's or just rods with wire line holders in place of a reel that you would just wind the line onto. In shallow water those setups are okay to use, but in that deeper water you needed to do a "hand-to-rod tip" maneuver to bring your fish up, and at 7-8 years old I hadn't quite mastered that technique. Instead I would set the hook and take off running - sometimes I pulled the fish all the way up and of the hole, other times I remember running about to where I figured the fish was just below the ice, drop the rod, run back to the hole, and then try landing the bugger by hand lining it up and through the hole. Thinking about it, I imagine my dad got quite a kick out of watching this.
Anyway, one of those times out at that spot the fish catching was slow to nothing and I had been at the hole sitting on my bucket watching my bobber for quite a length of time. It's been 50 years, but I still remember my dad saying to me "you better get a bite soon or you're gonna end up with a bad case of bucket rump" - of course referring to my patented technique of jumping up and running to alleviate that issue. After that day the reference "bucket rump" came to mean between my dad and I that it was a slow day of catching with not much biting. I picked Bucket Rump simply because it's a term that reminds of days I truly cherished fishing with my dad.

It took 24 hours of fishing to catch my first Ice fishing fish. My son didn't fair much better. We were introduced to the sport in January. We have plans on getting our own shelter, float bibs, electronics, etc. This year. We just did derby's last year and the help from other fishermen was nothing less than spectacular. We didn't have an auger or shelter, just a couple poles and chairs. People offered us warmth and holes. I told him some day we can return the favors.

No Fish Caught Again may things improve this season . Hopefully you made some friends at the derby's who can help you put fish on the ice on regular basis. Ditto 4x4Dad's comment glad you met so many kind folks willing to help your son and you at the derbys.

My Son Hawkeye Holden got his from being on the cover of the Hawkeye Hunting and Fishing News when he was 9 in 2015. The biggest fish he had caught before this one was a 3 lb bass so he was pretty excited to catch a 10 lb pike. You should have seen his eyes when the fish ran and pulled him towards the hole. He didn't panic, he slipped some line so the fish could run and then hauled it back in which happed a few times before he got it up the hole where I could grab it.

Mine is a combination of my two biggest hobby passions....Fishing, both hard and soft water and my Suzuki GSX-R. I actually looked into a telescopic rod and some Plano boxes for a back pack to do both.

mine nickname was given to me by one of the best fisherman and outdoorsman i will ever meet.He gave it to me because i lived in a city called clinton and the stick part refers to my ability to catch fish.He calls me the clintonstick which coming from a guy of his caliber i am very proud of it.The guy is also a very good judge in talent,LOL.
