MikeVT,

I have yet to find much of anything that a trout wont hit especially browns and rainbows. The fact that they are readily caught on power bait, marshmellows, cheese, salmon eggs or about anything else in your lunch box doesnt speak much towards a trout being picky. Hell, I caught brookies once using tin foil as bait.
Being in the great outdoors is not a matter of life or death. Its far more important than that!

Found two 16 inch pickeral interlocked.
One fish went head first in the mouth and out the gills of the other one.
The fish that got swallowed was still alive (barely).
Not exactly stomach content, but pretty weird.
I would guess they were both after the same meal.

This laker from a couple weeks ago had eaten lots of smelt and a plastic worm type thing that bigredonice tells me is probably a senko.   ???  All I know is it's some kind of bait people use to catch green and brown carp.

The rainbow i cleaned sunday was full of tiny baby perch-.25-.5" long, there was 27 that were undigested and who knows how many more in its stomach, weirdest thing i've ever seen in a rainbows stomach, and i caught him a foot under the ice in 49 feet of water, so it shows how much the fish are moving around in that lake for forage.

Have caught bluefish with pigeon and seagull legs in them. My father was a butcher when he was young and said he would butcher bluefish with toes and fingers in them. I saw one big shark get opened up after a day out fishing and have a license plate come out.

I filet them the exact same way I filet walleyes, perch, crappie, and bluegill.  Nothing different than the normal filet job.  Trout just have that bone structure that you can't simply remove like you can on everything else.
sounds good, i just might try that

A friend showed me a baggie full of cigarette filters that he got from a 10 lb lake trout that his wife caught thru the ice. There was at least 30-40 and he said he threw that many away. That fish had a nicotine habit. Cant be to healthy on the fish. Also remember reports of a human thumb that was found in a lakers mouth at Flaming Gorge a few years ago. They said it was returned to its original owner who lost it in a boating accident earlier that summer. There was "Thumb Lures'' at the local sporting goods stores for a while after that.

I lost a 4 inch rubber shad to a pike once, half an hour later caught the same pike. I found my lure in his stomach. Glad to get it back and not have the fish suffer with the hook rubber in it.

I once caught a walleye that had a 3" white twister and 1/4 oz. jighead in it.  It was lodged right at its anal vent, talk about constipation  :pinch:!

When I started this question , I just asked to see what people had found and I had never found anything myself.  Well Sunday I took my fiance on lake George and she caught a lake trout that had what looked to be an old tube jig inside it with the jig head still inside the tube jig.  The eyelet and hook was gone.

Not on the ice, but on a trip to Canada (Quebec) about 20 years ago.  I caught a 43" pike (now on my wall) that had a 23" walleye in it - the head was further through the pike and was more digested, but still the whole fish was recognizable.  I was curious, so opened up the walleye and it had a 9" pike it it.  Kind of a dog eat dog world.

In july while I was back in South Australia visiting my wife's family I caught a brown trout (open water) that had a scorpion (2") in its stomach.  One of the few fish I have kept in recent years.

We cleaned a brown trout my friend caught and it had a small sunfish in it, a ton of small snails and weeds in it. Was strange to me to see the snails
