So how about some Sherpa tea?
« on: Dec 29, 2018, 09:17 AM »
So a while back I was reading a book about climbing Mount Everest and some guy mentioned how he just needed some Sherpa tea. I love tea so I had to see what that was about.

It's called butter tea, po cha. It's a tea that is steeped for a long time then churned with yak butter and salt (and has some regional and seasonal differences- yak milk when butter can't be afforded, saltier in winter...)

Your heart would probably explode if you had it every day, but I can see a thermos of this stuff being good for one of those really cold and windy days. I just need to find some yak butter.

My neighbor has at least 30 Yaks, ill tempered buggers with matted long hair and horns. You'd have to shoot one to milk it.
