Fenwick Hmg

I was looking at picking up 2 of the fenwick Hmg ice rods in medium heavy for lakers. Does anyone use them for lakers? Just curious if they were to light.

I haven't used a med heavy for them but did use a med and it was on the light side the other guy I was fishing with was useong a med heavy and he was telling !e that is his go to laker rod but the Lakers he catches are in the 4-6 pound range so not super big
