Vertical Tungsten
« on: Dec 28, 2014, 07:27 PM »
Does anybody know of a company that makes true vertical tungsten jigs?  I'm talking similar to a shrimpo head from Custom Jigs and Spins.

I've looked all over and haven't found what I'm looking for.

Not yet. You could make them with Tungsten Beads from a fly tying store

Thanks, Swift.  That thought had crossed my mind but was curious if anybody out there had already put them into production.

For a short time Bass Pro was carrying a Tungsten "spoon", like a small version of a Hopkins. I used it in open water for casting LONG distances for trout... Had to make sure the spool was full or it would empty on a cast! They don't seem to carry them any more, but when they do, I will be first in line to get some more!! It would make a great vertical jig, unless you were just fishing for pan fish.
