so i fish for bigger eyes. i am looking for the perfect ice line. open water i am die hard power pro. but what are guys using through the ice. looking for strength and sensitivity. what about leader combos? floro? mono? none? let me know
When hell freezes over Ill Ice fish there too

for bigger eye try 6lb fireline crystal micro ice with a barrel swivel attaching it to an 8lb floro lead.  P-line makes a floro specifically for ice

I use 10# Fireline for the rare bigger walleye.

I prefer the Suffix Ice magic for my bigger jigs.  Have had very good luck with it, it's sensitive, strong, but has a little more stretch than superlines.  It isn't as sensitive as Fireline, but in playing bigger fish, you've got a lot more margin for error.

I remember Al Linder saying he likes to use 10# mono when jigging Ralala's that the bigger line dia. actually gives the swimming jig a much better action. But on tip up's I like 8# flouro leader about 18" with a ball bearing swivel off of my main line 30# Mason plastic coated tip up line.
