Anyone know how they are doing at Kahle? I'm heading there tomorrow.

I have no idea how they are doing but one thing I do know is we have a real bait issue in the kahle area as in we can't find none..Just curious where are you coming from and where did you find bait?

Flatiron i feel your pain I used to live in the Knox area myself.
I am now in  Karns city and stopped at a bait shop in Kittanning earlier today.

Both parking lots were full today.   ice isn't the best, but didn't have any problems.  Not sure but thinking the dam area is still open..(didn't venture down that far, but looked open from where I was). 
I managed to catch a few small bass, no Keepers, but maybe tomorrow..

Looks like the lower end is still open or just frozen over,we came in from Knox.We caught a few 3 gills 3 crappies a perch and a bass.Saw a guy with a bunch of gills he got earlier today.Gonna hit it again tomorrow.Good fishing.

Does anyone know how thick the ice is out from the north launch. Looked like open water at the damn.

Fished straight out of the north launch today 4 and a half 5 inches of ice lots of people in the area caught some from daylight till about ten.

drove to Kale today to see what's up.  three vehicles parked in the parking lot by the dam.  talked to a guy coming off of the lake at about noon.  I asked how he did he said "screw it!",( only he didn't say screw).  he said he marked fish, but the hard rain drove him from the lake.  there was about 5-6 inches of ice, so maybe some will be left after this weekend.
