Yea I got out a couple times and managed some fish. Lots of sorting though. Hopefully things will lock back up here soon.

Nothing to brag about but was still able to get on. 2 foot of open water at the shore but there was a solid 5 inches once on. Caught about 50 dink gills and 2 nice crappies. All fish came on blue and white gill pill with a Mousie. Wasn't marking much but once I dropped it down I was able to jig them up.

Fished a small private lake in the Rockford area this morning. Pulled 3 pike all from the same hole on the same tipup within 30 minutes. 2 hammer handles and 1 nice 35 incher. The crappies were tough today. Caught them in 20 foot of water about 17ft down on minnows and plastics.

Fished Eastmanville this morning a long with every other ice fisherman in the GR area. 5 inches of ice, water depth was about 10ft. I caught a crap ton of dink gills, warmouths, and small crappies. Gills and warmouths came on a frog colored gill pill with spikes or mousies. Crappies came on raspberry and chartreuse micro plastics.

Not a bad day. First time I ever fished there. Didn't keep anything, but it beats sitting at home!

Tried to hit a gravel pit this evening for some crappies, but my vex battery died so that ended in a big goose egg.

6 pike, 24 crappies, and 2 gills. Crappies came on a dead stick with a minnow and a yellow and green gill pill with a pink and yellow micro plastic 10ft down in 15 foot of water. Pike all came on tip ups with sucker minnows 10 foot down.

Right now I'm in Indonesia just a couple degrees from the equator, so I love seeing pictures of fish and ice to keep me sane until I can finally get out later this month. Keep them coming!

My old man and his buddy got out this morning while I was at work. They managed 32 crappies. All on minnows on a dead stick and minnows on jaw jacker rods. All fish came from 7:30 until noon when the bite dies off.

It looks like you're having a great season so far. My lake has been producing too, and I've had good ice since before Christmas. Going out again today to try my luck.

Fished Croton this morning, set a couple tip ups for walleyes and jigged. No walleyes but I did snag 1 small pike.

Fished a small private lake in East Grand Rapids from 8 until noon this morning. Fish were very finicky. Crappies came on dead stick minnows and jigs with spikes. Fished 20ft of water and all fish came off bottom, nothing suspended.

Headed back out to another lake this afternoon.

Fished a lake in Caledonia this morning 4 inches of ice. Fished 30 foot of water and all fish were right on the bottom. Caught them on firetiger diamond jig with a red spike. Bite only lasted about an hour but I managed 15.

I couldn't take it anymore. Hit a lake in Rockford this morning. Caught 3 pike 2 on traps and one on a rod. 1 crappie and a couple dink perch. Nothing spectacular, but it sure beats sitting at home for another day.
