Ice Scouting Report
« on: Nov 24, 2013, 11:53 AM »
We went up and did some scouting on the ice at Antero and at Tarryall reservoir yesterday. At Antero there was about 2 inches of ice on the reservoir and was not safe to walk on. There is a lot of snow on the ice and its creating lots of slush on top of the ice. At Tarryall reservoir there is 3 to 4 inches of ice and there were a few people out on the ice. I'm not saying its safe ice, but they did have a couple of ice shelters on the lake. I stayed there and talked to a few of the fishermen and watched as they pulled quite a few rainbows through the ice.

Thanks for the report - sounds like those spots should be safe by Thanksgiving!  I'll definitely stop by the CTP shop on my way to 11mile this season.  :)
Flags up, gentlemen!!!
