Made it out today for four hours and caught 13 dinks.  Biggest might have been pushing 19".  Lots of large areas of slush.  Ice was 6 inches thick where I was fishing in Abay.

Met up with MW yesterday and slogged out off D3 for the first time this season.  We were the first to fish the area and it pretty much sucked.  We caught a few fish, but saw very few on the sonar and the size was lacking.  Ice was maybe 3" thick and huge areas of slush.  Highly recommend not hiking out unless you have waterproof boot, which I don't and will be drying them out for quite a few days.  I could wring water out of my socks when I got home.

I did get one real trophy though, on a 4" tube jig in about 40 fow.

GPS coordinates available for this trophy location. ;D

Go to your PB acct. and click on the picture you want and then right click and insert into you post.  Like this.

Nice fish, by the way.  Were you on sleds?

yea me and my buddy we were more focused on beer drinking than fishing.  Didn't mark a hole lot of fish they seemed to be cruising at 60-90 and not interested in much.  I am gona head back up and try and get out at day break. i have always done better early on granby from day break till noon.

What is it about Granby and phone batteries, I don't think my phone has ever lasted more than a few hours there.
I was planning on Granby on Saturday, had to turn back after 1 1/2 hours of stop and go on I-70 >:(.

Yeah, I know. I was up late with my Mother, she's visiting for a few days. Usually I'm on the road by 4:30 or 5. I was trying to squeeze in a spontaneous trip.
