Lehr area

Any predictions how the walleye and perch will be in the Lehr area this coming hard water season? Had some friends go there two years ago. They did real real well.

Sorry, I can't help you there! I'm still learning the Bismarck area.

I actually havn't fished that area either.  I've heard great things about some smaller lakes though.  I think this year I'll be heading down there more often.

There are so many lakes down that way - just a matter of getting out and punching holes I guess.

While flying into Bismarck today I saw a lake in the Lehr area with a dozen or so houses on it!

Ive always said the way to find the hot bite in ND would be to rent a small plane and go for a ride before xmas..... ;)

When I was at NDSCS in Wahp, a few of my instructors used ultralight planes to access perch sloughs.  Pretty slick idea.  That was about 12 years ago, but I think one of them still works there and still flies his UL.

Well the boys got back from the Lehr area. I could not go. Everyone of them came home with their limits and some great story's. Maybe I can make it out there sometime. From the looks of the fillets. That area has some very large perch and some nice size walleye.

Wentz must have more of an early bite.  Drove by a couple weeks ago and there was one guy on it.
