Drilled 1st holes @ 9am. Drilled 2 more at 915. Didn't drill anymore. The reservoir of Seaman spewed forth its load of succulent perch unto us. We reveled in the golden perch shower of love. Landed 120 by 1030pm and called it a day. It was a warm calm sunny morning at Jizm Lake. Only 1 Seaman Sucker was caught. Shoe must have thinned them out.
It was literally as fast as you could drop the kasty down to the bottom and lift it up and a perch would be missed or caught. An older dude on a bucket left when we got there with his load of golden love.
Several other groups were observed awash in the briny manliness! All were 9-10". Big was 10.5", no jumbos but thats not what brings us to the Ocean of Orgasmic Perch.

Gawd I love that place!

While filleting, I measured them and 1/2 were 8.75" ,half were 9.0 inches. big was 10". It was my first perch of the day.

Im gonna try and get there this week also!

Nice haul. Never been up there. Haven't much felt like making the hike. Went to last year's lake of love today. Got a handful. Nothing to write home about

Tear it up, Alan! I only used 1 rod after the 1st 5 minutes. It was tough to keep 1 rod down- much less 2!

Were you able to walk the lake to the back or did you have to make the trek across the trail? I was thinking of taking one of my old army rucksacks and taking a couple dozen minnows in gallon zip locks, but if it’s unnecessary I will forgo the minnows. Mike, If you want to go with we can meet up and take my suburban up there.

Ronco had live minnows. We use like 3 I think. Too much trouble when the perches are hitting a 1/8 silver/green kasty tipped with a perch eye. A perch eye on a plain hook worked fine also.. Not sure what day I will have off, but Ronco will prolly go also.

We walked ice from the dam. Solid except for the one pressure ridge past the 1st main point.. Just walk on shore for about 10 feet and its fine.

If you want to experience the Seaman Love, it doesn't get any easier than it is right now.

New equipment is finally in and "Training" begins Monday. Best weather days are wednesday and thursday. Im thinking thursday. But we'll see. Wouldn't mind trying the crack again this week.

Yea but I drilled about 17 more holes than you did. It was dead down there for the most part.
