I've fished Pleasant quite a few times. Only ever had luck 3/4 of the way up the lake from the public launch. A 6lb walleye and a 30 inch northern were the highlights of the days. Steady flags if you find the right spot on the right day in my opinion. Alot of small northerns. Never really targeted panfish. Just my experience.

Out of all of the Indian river chain lakes what is everyone's most and least productive lakes in the winter. My best days last year on the ice were on Red lake with my slowest days being on moon lake. Just something to think about while waiting for the ice to form.

Paul smiths area was pretty good till all this rain and 40 degree temps. Jones pond has ice and Colby had a sheet out in the middle yesterday afternoon.

we were iced over here and now not so much. calling for 5 degrees tomorrow night
If you consider it a sport to gather your food by drilling through 36 inches of ice and sitting there all day hoping that the food will swim by, you might live in northern New York

Yeah!  I'll be out of the possibility of ice-fishing after this weekend - lots of travel for the holidays  :)  But I'll be back by the 28th or so and be looking for a place to go in your area  ;)

Yeah!  Even better if things had been froze over.  Maybe we'll see things skimmed over in the AM?
Gotta be some small lakes up in the days that are making ice tonite!  ;D

Just go back from scouting some lakes. A few had enough ice to support me but I did not have the brass to go out on it...it was only about 1 1/2" thick. The Fulton Chain of Lakes is coming along nicely 1, 2, 3 lakes are covered with 1/4 to skim and 4th lake is about 1/4 but not locked yet it is a deep lake. Pics to follow shortly.

Doesnt look like ill be getting on the ice for a while here in cny!  While im waiting for big sodus to harden up could one of you northern new yorkers give me a heads up on solid ice when it comes!  3-4 inches is good for this guy!  Ive fished butterfeild lake and black lake before.  Im willing to.drive, im a willing ice head!  By the sounds of it, you guys are off to a good start up that way!  Just got my new marcum lx-3tc and frabill trekker deluxe, and im on the edge of my seat waiting for ice!!   Stay on top gentlemen!
If your electronics do not say MarCum you're already too far behind me to catch up!
