Who's ready for some ice? Getting to be that time to watch the ice plunge south again! She's making ice at the pole and snow is showing up in canada and alaska. Shout out on this thread when you get ice in your area.

6" of snow and counting here in waskesiu, sk. canada. 1/2" ice on the ponds on the golf course

just had the new sled out for a boot as well, salt in the wounds!

snow sleet and hail up here in northern aroostook county Maine today at 2:30 pm done by 2:45 if you worked hard enough you could have made a snow ball melted by 2:50

Its definitely trying here. We have snow on the ground and the water temps dropping fast.

Smaller ponds are icing up and nothing but cold temps for the next 8 months.

Ranchers are chopping ice for cattle to water. 2+ inches on dugouts... might have to try some high altitude potholes at the end of the week. I'll call it scouting but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I had an iced over puddle in the train station parking lot this morning. Does that count? Probably not.

Oh well. We'll probably see ice down in Massachusetts around December. Hopefully!

This here be the closest lake to my place (about 1/2 mile).
It contains walleye, pike and whitefish.

Nope, it's a cardboard box about 25 yds away.

The waters only knee deep there.

We have had some traces of snow here in the past couple weeks. Most nights the pond is getting a good skim of ice on it but goes away during the day.
Can't wait for the ice fishing season to start

Hahahaha...First fish of the season, I once was a southerner and felt your pain...It comes at a price though, didn't draw a deer tag on the family ranch this year. Win some, lose some... Anyway, we have 4 in. of ice or so. I hope to get out again this week.

A few of the boys have been getting into the high country around here. Going after cutthroats and brookies. Gotta be ready for a hike to get there though.

1/2-1/3" on the potholes here (edmonton, alberta)
1st trip is usually 3rd weekend of nov. but we are behind schedule...+8 deg c. today too

Is there still the interactive map where we can mark where we found ice? I remember it from last year, and I'm actually trying to figure out how these maps work (For another purpose, but I remember it from here).
