All gone again

I cried when i looked out the window this morning. Giant piles of packed snow and ice where dwindling to nothing and the warm up isn't even half over yet. The ice is for surely going to take a hit. temps are high for a while to so it will take a while to get it back that sucks and i havent been out yet either that sucks even worse.

I hear ya, I havnt been out yet either. Im hoping all the slush on top will protect what little ice we had. Then we will just have to wait for the shore ice to reform and the slush to harden up.

Have no fear!  The ice shall return and the fish will be plentifull!  Michigan's cold will yet swoop in and save us all.

im actually excited! Snow is all melted off the ice, the preexisting ice is holding LOTS of water. Cold temps will freeze that back up and we have slick ice instead of ice packed with 2 ft of snow!  Told ya'll im stayin optimistic this season!

i checked two gravel pits by my house and the shore ice was still holding up can't belive it . last year i watched lakes with 5+" become completely open after two days of 50+ degrees and some rain.

I think this warm up is good for the ice,because it melted all that snow that was keeping the ice from getting good and thick!When it locks backup it will be thick enough to justify the power auger.

I was out yesterday and it was holding up good! Im glad all the snow is gone Im getting to old/fat to drag my stuff in 2' of snow! :D
