hi sturgeon, you need your daily use gear for fishing the sébaste and cod.you must have fireline or another line that don't stretch(very important).i use a stiff rod because of the deepness we fish.200 feet.i take lot of sébaste with a white glow jig.half an once.i put a half once sinker 6 feet above the jig.it help sink the jig faster.don't forgot to take a fishfinder with you cause the fish is not always to the bottom.last year the fish was at 160 feet in 200 feet bottom.if you fish the smelt you need another sort of gear.very light action rod and 6lbs line.number 10 hook with beef heart on it.you can make your leader before going out.you can put 10 numbers 10 hook on the same leader.see the pic you will understand.

if you have question no problem ;)

hi TH,you bet the cam will be on the trip.i promess good pic!!!i see on the newspaper this week end that they took shark only 1 over 10 years and it make 10 years that they don't took one.maybe this years.I'd like to see that on the ice ;D

Hey Icebigboy

How was your trip ? I am interested in hearing about it, a couple of my friends and possibly me as well were thinking about going up there this weekend, the 11-13th of Feb, but none of us know where to start !!!

Any info/tips would be great... also looking for a reasonable place to stay.

Regards
