Post by: mihuntn on Dec 27, 2003, 01:09 AM
Hey, whats going on.  Just wndering where some of you been catching pike, and on what.  Originally I'm from Michigan and we would use live shiners on tip-ups, just wondering what to do up here? ??? I have just been fishing Polaris Lake on Eielson, been producing pretty good rainbows.  Any help would do, thanks.

Polaris Lake is a great lake to ice decent pike!  Where are you fishing for them?  Try the weed beds opposite of all the trout fishermen.... Barleydog

Thanks Barleydog, I'll have to try that side, I've just been fishing the side where all the shantys are put up.  I'll let you know how it goes.

Try to get into the weeds in about 4-6 ft. of water between the beaver dam and the opposite point.  If you dont pull up weeds with your depth finder, don't fish it!  Keep us posted!!!
