Hello All,
I was wondering if anyone had a detailed Bathymetric map of Lake Louise. I'm unable to locate a decent map anywhere. If you guy's know of any let me know I would totally appreciate it.

The one on the ADF&G website is the only one I've ever seen.
My dad's been looking for awhile as he has a cabin on the lake.
He hasn't found any other one either.

Yeah if you find one let me know to. Don’t expect to find to much on Louise, fish and game doesn’t put any effort into the Louise system and are generally unhelpful if you call them. My best advice would be to get out there and explore on your own that’s what the rest of us do. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.

I found a nicer one here: http://www.adfg.alaska.gov/index.cfm?adfg=fishingSportStockingHatcheries.lakesdatabase
The Alaska Lake Database is an amazing resource. Makes me happy to see some tax dollars be used in such a way :)

That map there is about as good as it gets. Unfortunately it is extremely vague and I’ve found that it’s only good for just ballpark references. An aerial photo would be way more useful if you can find a good one.

might as well just give a toddler a black marker. bet it would be more accurate then any louise map. even better we could pay some one to take their boat out their and make a quick contour map that is good for 1' contours. If i had a lake boat thats what i would do.
-
Yeah no doubt on the sharpie marker, the bio must have been drinking heavily when he made that map. I’m going to start mapping next summer but I’ll primarily be on Susitna and once it’s done I was thinking of charging 1000 bucks a copy 😀.

We don't even have those crappy little maps for the bulk of our lakes in the NWT.
We have some mapping for Great Slave and Great Bear lakes as well as the MacKenzie River but nothing for the rest of our waters.
Last year I picked up new Garmin units for my boat and can now map my lake so I probably am the only person here in town with mapping of my lake. :)

I couldn't agree more. I called the guy at Glennallen for some info and he didn't know jack. I think I knew more than he did and that ain't much.

That's hilarious. You're probably right.

looks like the 74sv. I have the garmin echomap Chirp 74sv on my ocean boat and it is awesome. i think in the specs you can cruise up to 10-15 mph and get decent contours from it. Of course the slower the better though.
-
I think that’s the same one I got. The next model up comes with radar and I didn’t want that so I got the 7 inch touch screen. Haven’t messed with it much other than taking it out of the box to make sure all the parts were there. Other than the motor I’d say that Fish finder is worth more than my boat.

93 SV Chirp on the left doing sonar duty and 74 SV non-chirp on the right doing mapping duty.

Up to 10 MPH gets you excellent contours in green
10-20 MPH gets you good coloured in yellow
And poor over 20 MPH coloured in red.

I got the echo map plus 74sv it comes with chip clearvu and sidevu sonar plus chart plotter. I’d say the lakers are going to have their hands full next summer or should I say their mouths.
