Title: North bound and down!!!
Post by: Smally22 on Dec 18, 2014, 09:48 AM
Leaving after work today to head to Little bay de Noc.  Never been there so it should be a good learning experience.  No quad or sled, so the legs are gonna get a workout :) I will report with hopefully some good results

I love fishing there but its a early morning late evening bite usually and not lots of walleyes but big when you get them and also great perch fishery.

Is Little bay de Noc ready to be fished?  Being in Lake Michigan is seems like it would freeze later.

This is what I got today emailed to me from the Mich DNR.

Little Bay De Noc:  Had enough ice north of Gladstone that anglers were traveling on ORV’s and snowmobiles.  The warmer weather and rain made conditions sloppy.  Anglers have been fishing for yellow perch in the Butler Island area and walleye in the central and northern parts of the Bay including the First, Second and Center Reefs.  There was some ice but more open water south of Gladstone.
