Wood County Help
« on: Dec 14, 2010, 10:49 AM »
Hey guys,
My buddy just moved to Wood County for his job and is on Call on Sunday.  That means he can't leave the county.  We usually fish up in the oneida county area but obviously we can't now.  Anybody ahve a suggestion of where we could go..I know petenewell is an option but is there anyother place with relatively easy access since I am sure there won't be enough ice for a wheeler.
If you want a country run by religion....Move to Iran.

Try Rusty's backwater Saloon.

They are on the Wisconsin River.  Drive past the parking lot, you'll see where everyone parks.

You'll be fishing the backwaters and sloughs of the Wisconsin River.

Crappie, bluegills, Cats and the occasional nice northern.

Hope this helps,

Wiener

Nepco (sp.) on 13 just south of Rapids.
Shut up and fish.

Wisconsin River backwaters are excellent for all species.
