Why wait to spring time to fish when u have perfectly good ice to fish on.

We went up Tuesday , it had 3" along the edge but the State parks had a sign that said Lake closed due to unsafe ice conditions : I suggest you call to see if it is open. I'm Going to try again next Wed

hoping this cold snap will make some ice fishing possible. I'll check back and see if anyone posts ice conditions for this lake.

I fished it Saturday. Had 3.5-4" of great looking ice. Fishing was slow, but gave up a couple big ones. 14" perch 12+" crappie. The snow I fear will not help.
