I moved to Indiana 2 years ago for a job. Since then i have been fishing all the lakes around here which there is plenty of. I am just so sick of fishing in deep deep water compared to what i grew up fishing on the Mississippi backwaters. I was from Freeport, IL and my Dad would always take me to either pool 13 or pool 12 to ice fish just about every weekend and catch bull gills. Out here in these lakes the gills are skinny due to just swimming in non current compared to the thick gills that come out of the river its really sad when u clean them and only get half the meat of a river gill. I just wanted to say to all that fish the river that i am very jealous of all you and cant wait till a job comes open some where near the Mississippi River
. And not to mention it is the best waterfowl hunting on the planet
