Title: Oswego snow shots!!!!!!
Post by: A-TOM-MIK on Jan 23, 2011, 02:30 PM
Do you have any you would like to share?

My parents about 3 feet in, actually received another foot after these shots

Built this garage for my parents quite a few years ago, glad I used Gambrel trusses for pitch and hope like hell the Cornish doesn't come down !!

These shots were a few days after the roof was shoveled

My dad is anal about shoveling roof off almost daily

Last "Mega huge" storm I recall was the blizzard of 93', I lost my 2nd permanent shack that year on Lake Neontawanta, was around the 24th or 25th of March, 60+ inches fell that weekend alone.

We have lost strength through the years actually, since then only averaging around 140" to 150" a season, but this season we are already at 100+ inches, so records are in jeopardy ):

Maybe it will cause an extreme run-off and bless us with a spring King season?

It was so exciting thinking about a wonder-bar ice season after some lack-luster years, but now all this snow.....  Grrrrr

Years of old Oswego Harbor, never fish-able even then though
(http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e329/atommik/OswegoHarbor2.jpg)

From my plowing days when we would get pounded
(http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e329/atommik/Winter.jpg)

Then the run-off and highly anticipated Kings

They did from 2003 through 2007, 03' was our first mature run of Net Pen fish, not sure what happened from 08' till 10'

Other than that (even though they were awesome spring runs) we were only ever blessed with occasional incidentals.

Just wishful thinking, when I questioned head biologist Dan Bishop his comment was, "Hey you just never know"

May 3rd 2006, one of many spring kings that year

We like it, we, most of us, have fun with it and it makes our fishin' awesome.  Plus think of all the cash that comes in with the snowmobilers alone.  I love blowing out my driveway, it's fun. ;p
