Should work well. I wish I had seen that 20 years ago when there was no ice fishing ducers. LOL

Good idea .
I bolted mine to a skimmer handle . Bent the skimmer end to 90 deg from the handle . I stick the handle with the transducer attached down a hole and place the skimmer basket flat on the ice on the edge of the hole with my battery on it .
Your setup looks Kool I might try that.

Sorry no picture but I took some 3/4 inch pvc, some elbows and a "T" and put my transducer on the bottom of the down stick. By rotating the contraption around the hole spotting the best signal at depth on my jig I really get great results.  I don't have that problem I had with the foam float moving around the hole and disturbing the transducer signal/focus.  I do have a pic on my phone if you pm me your text number.

Another good way is to take the real off a tip up and screw the transducer yo the trap
