I had a little free time at work today. So I made myself a transducer arm. I love the benefits of my job!

Nope! Bridgeport style! Manual measurements, not a computer.

I got an arm made by student in the USA.
You can get it engraved with what ever you want.

What is the purpose of the arms?
I've seen them for years but never known what they do?

They replace the foam float as the method to suspend the transducer at the desired depth.  Makes hole-hopping easier, too.
