Last year I went to St. Mary's Glacier on Thanksgiving weekend. The lake had 8-12" of ice and lots of wind. We caught a dozen brookies before the wind blew us off. The dirt in the ice eats auger blades. Hope to do it again this year. I think we can still keep 10 brookies under 8". That will make a couple of meals for me. Love them pan fryers. Think'n about ice. afishingfool
