Booked a place on Grand Lake in early Feb. Have never been so looking for any depth and location pointers that anyone would be willing to share, cheers!

There's a lot of good structure straight off the landing. Good drop-offs from shoal areas. Look at some good charts and Navionics of the like to find deep areas and underwater valleys. I'd fish around that kind of structure. I mostly target whitefish and there are plenty there, but kinda small! Great place for salmon and lake trout! Salmon up shallow and togue anywhere, but structure is a good bet.

Just make sure you don't cross over the border the Mounties keep a good eye out.

More or less true. I've been told as long as you are not between 2 points of Canadian land, you are OK. I have not verified this with any authorities though. I HAVE seen guys over the actual line but not anywhere near between two points of Canadian land.

"The lake also acts as the international border with New Brunswick, Canada - but don’t worry - you do not need a Passport to go boating on East Grand Lake. If you choose to fish in the 7 coves of strictly Canadian water, you will need a Canadian Fishing License - sold online."

Fishing advice is irrelevant, there will be 1000 people on the ice with you, only decision is to join the crowds or find a spot with a few less people.

You'l find most people concentrated in one area. Most are over the deep hole. The whole area east of there off that landing and right of the landing lookin our from there has great structure and a lot less pressure. I target whitefish, which are kind of small in there. You can fins nice lakers and salmon all around the structure and deep holes between.

I have fished EG for 40 years and never herd of a issue fishing on the Canadian side. Last winter I saw many groups set up shanty villages within 1/2 mile from CN shore.

That camera is mine. It was mostly locked up on Xmas day when I was there. Could still see some open water to the North with binoculars tho. Should be good for shore fishing by Saturday I would think.

Glad you find it useful. I originally set it up for our personal use, but slowly the word got out of its existence. I just switched out the camera, as my original one had fogged up on the inside. The new camera seems to be much clearer than the original ever was.

Really want to get on the ice this weekend, anyone have current conditions on East Grand? Id even be willing to head way up to Eagle lake if that even has safe ice yet. Any updates would be greatly appreciated.
