It took me 5 tries over 2 winters to finally make it happen and work out. My daughter caught a northern longer than her....and finally got the right combo so she did it all by herself. Used a med action bait caster with a large paddle handle reel, so it absorbed a lot of the shock. Also had her sit down so she could use better leverage. My first fish I ever videoed with go pro....sure wish I would have a had better angle.

Where's the fish? Cool memory though

Only got the still of the fish....first time I ever videoed from the head mount and had the wrong angle. As I was still setting up when the fish hit, I was fortunate enough to at least have the camera with me.....

That's cool man I was watching with my 5 year old daughter and we were both yelling at the computer to lower the camera lol. Still a great memory fore sure.

Oh trust me...I flipped out when I watched it on the ice because I thought I missed everything. It took me a while to get over missing so much, but at least I got something out of it. Next time i will be ready....
